Treat dad to a jazzy brunch this weekend

New restaurant offers live Jazz, American/Mediterranean-flavored dishes

Father’s Day is this weekend, and if you’re looking for a restaurant to take dad or the special man in your life, how does a jazzy brunch sound?

Haus of Brunch describes their dishes as blending traditional American and Mediterranean flavors.

“We are a halal brunch destination, our focus is on southern soul, we will eventually put out a fusion of Mediterranean,” said Maher Obeid, the Founder of “Haus of Brunch.”

Located on the first floor of the Westin Book-Cadillac hotel in Downtown Detroit, Obeid said it was important they left some of the historic charm as part of the restaurant’s décor. “You can see the beams in the ceiling,” he said.

The restaurant offers several different brunch dishes like chicken and waffles, shrimp and grits, peaches and cream, cream cheese French toast and much more.

They also have live jazz on the weekend.
