‘I think dad just won the lottery’: Michigan man runs down street after winning $5.46M jackpot

A Michigan dad bought a lottery ticket on a whim and ended up winning a $5.46 million jackpot.

The 43-year-old Van Buren County man, who decided to stay anonymous, bought the winning Lotto 47 ticket at the Speedway gas station at 3908 South Westnedge Avenue in Kalamazoo, according to Michigan Lottery officials.

Mile High Massacre: Detroit Tigers torpedo Rockies as en fuego bats rewrite history

The red-hot Detroit Tigers went scorched earth vs. the Colorado Rockies in their doubleheader inside Coors Field Thursday afternoon.

After winning a 8-6 extra innings slug-fest on Wednesday (May 7), Detroit came out in the first game on a mission as they throttled the Rockies 10-2 behind the arm of Casey Mize (6-1) who pitched six innings and at one time struck out 13-straight batters while securing his sixth victory of the season.

WB I-696 closing between I-75, the Lodge for over a week -- What to know

Westbound I-696 between I-75 and the Lodge will close for a 10-day project.

The closure begins on May 9, 2025, at 9 p.m. and is expected to last until May 19 at 5 a.m. so crews can demolish the Church Street plaza bridge.

The extended closure time allows workers to demolish 170 concrete beams and clean up debris.

Bodycam video: Raccoon found with meth pipe during Ohio traffic stop

Police have released bodycam footage of a pet raccoon with a meth pipe found during a traffic stop in Ohio.

It happened May 5 in Springfield Township, a suburb of Cincinnati. According to authorities, a traffic stop was initiated on a driver with a suspended license.
