DEARBORN, Mich. – Dearborn police seized a rented Lamborghini after shots were fired from the luxury sports car during a wedding celebration on Sunday evening.

The celebration included several cars and went from Canton to Dearborn on Sunday, June 1, according to police.

During the festivities, dash cam footage caught someone firing shots from the passenger side of the purple Lamborghini Huracán near Ford and Evergreen roads.

This prompted the police department to investigate, and the wedding celebration was traced to a Dearborn Heights banquet hall.

The rented Lamborghini was seized, and after police received an anonymous tip, a suspect was arrested.

Police say that the suspect faces charges for reckless discharge of a firearm.

“We want the community to know that we are not going to tolerate reckless or dangerous behavior in the name of celebration,” said Dearborn Police Chief Issa Shahin. “Firing a weapon from a moving vehicle—especially in a crowded area—is not only illegal, it puts lives at risk. Dearborn is a city that welcomes joyful gatherings, but when celebrations turn into public safety threats, we will act swiftly and decisively. Let this be a clear message: If you break the law in our city, we will find you, and we will hold you accountable.”
